Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Yuzic, a personal music player and streaming application built with React Native.

By using the App, you agree to these Terms.
Information about data handling and permissions is described separately in the Privacy Policy.

1.0 Overview

Yuzic is a personal music player and streaming application designed for use with locally stored media or user-controlled servers.

The App does not provide, host, or distribute music content.

2.0 Eligibility

You must meet the minimum digital consent age required in your region to use the App.

By using Yuzic, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3.0 Personal Use Only

Yuzic is provided for personal, non-commercial use only.

You may not use the App for commercial distribution, resale, or public performance purposes.

4.0 User Content & Servers

Yuzic does not host, store, or supply music or media files.

• You are solely responsible for any content you access, stream, or play through the App
• You are responsible for ensuring you have the legal rights to any content you use or access through connected servers
• Connections to media servers occur directly between your device and the server you configure
• The Developer has no access to your servers, their content, or any data exchanged with them

5.0 Third-Party Services

Yuzic integrates with the following third-party services to provide certain features. Use of these features is subject to the respective terms and policies of each service.

5.1 Deezer

Yuzic uses the Deezer API to display artist and album metadata, provide song previews (30-second audio samples), and power music recommendations. Preview content delivered via Deezer is subject to Deezer’s terms of service. Yuzic does not grant any rights to Deezer content beyond what Deezer’s public API permits.

5.2 Last.fm

Yuzic uses Last.fm to generate artist and song recommendations. If you optionally enable Last.fm scrobbling, your playback activity will be sent to Last.fm under your Last.fm account and subject to their terms.

5.3 Self-Hosted Media Servers

Yuzic supports connections to user-operated media servers including Navidrome, Jellyfin, and Emby. You are solely responsible for the legality and licensing of any content hosted on servers you connect to.

5.4 Other Integrations

Yuzic supports optional integrations with self-hosted tools such as Lidarr, Slskd and SoulSync. Use of these integrations is governed by the terms of those respective projects. The Developer is not responsible for third-party services or content accessed through these integrations.

6.0 Permissions

Yuzic may request certain device permissions to function correctly.

• Microphone or “record audio” permission may be requested for audio routing purposes
• No audio is recorded, stored, transmitted, or analyzed by the App
• Network access is used to communicate with connected servers and third-party services described in Section 5.0

7.0 No Warranty

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

The Developer disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

The availability and accuracy of third-party content (including Deezer metadata, previews, and Last.fm data) is not guaranteed by the Developer.

8.0 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The Developer is not liable for data loss, server issues, service interruptions, or content availability
• The Developer is not liable for the availability or accuracy of third-party services including Deezer and Last.fm
• The Developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the App

Your use of the App is at your own risk.

9.0 Updates

The App may be updated from time to time.

Continued use of Yuzic after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10.0 Termination

You may stop using the App and uninstall it at any time.

The Developer may discontinue or suspend the App at any time without notice.

11.0 Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated periodically.

Any changes will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date at the top of this document.
